When the time comes to sell your home, the decisions you make about the process not only impact your net proceeds but your peace of mind during the process and after closing.

Today, there are more choices than ever for home sellers. You can sell the house yourself. Or you could use a limited service discount broker. Many home sellers choose a full service broker. How and with whom you choose to sell your home is one of the most important decisions you can make.

In this challenging real estate market, we at Sunriver Realty understand the temptation to save commissions by selling the house yourself or going with a discount broker. But often this is because the real value that a qualified broker affords is not fully understood. While thinking closer about selling your home, consider the following: 

  • Are you able to look at your home with an objective business eye, showcase your home to sell, and be available to show your home at a potential buyer's convenience? 
  • Are you ready to answer questions from prospects without taking offense? 
  • Is the prospect qualified to purchase your home? How motivated are they? Do they have to sell another property first? 
  • Are you willing to make follow up phone calls with those prospects, negotiate the price and terms, follow up with the lender and escrow, and negotiate the inspections? 
  • How do you handle the dreaded "buyer's remorse" syndrome? 
  • Do you have the knowledge and experience to trouble shoot and mitigate the unexpected problems that can sometimes arise?
